About Out of Print Books Etc

"We don't take ourselves seriously.... But we're serious about our books"

Ken Cox turned his life-long affair with books into a business in 1990. He started selling second hand and out of print titles from a tiny shop near Caulfield Park before moving to 739 Glenhuntly Road eight years ago.

His wife and partner Beryl, provides valuable backup and helps in the search for out of print titles.

His son Mike, who shares his father’s passion for the limitless world of books, joined the business in 1999.

Today, “Out of Print Books Etc” stocks thousands of classic out of print books as well as modern second hand titles.

The family business stocks books for all ages and all tastes including modern and classic fiction, true crime, Australiana, children’s, history, music, art, poetry, sport and humour.

There is also a free book search service for those favourite books customers may have thought were gone forever and the classic tales they read to their children and grandchildren may already be in stock.

“Out of Print Books Etc” is open seven days a week which gives everyone plenty of opportunity to phone, email or drop in for a browse among an extensive collection. There is also a mail order service for those unable to visit.

Everyone at “Out of Print Books Etc” feels great satisfaction in seeing a customer leave with a second hand book after years of fruitless searching.

Happy reading to all!
